The aircraft.
The P 136 light five-seat amphibian flying boat was flown for the first time on August 29,1948, and the first production aircraft were powered by 215 h.p. Franklin 6A8.215-B9F engines.
Eighteen of this were acquired by Italian Air Force followed by a further fifteen of the P 136-L version powered by Lycoming engines.
A total of 32 was delivered to non-military customers, including more than twenty to the USA where the amphibian was marketed as the Treker Gull, and most of these were of the P.136-L-1 (270 hp Lycoming GO-480B engines) or P.136-L-2 (340 hp Lycoming GSO-480 engines)versions.
